Alcor Micro was one of the first IC companies to bring an ultra-low cost USB Hub controller IC solution to the PC market. Our reputation was expanded by delivering the world's first single chip USB keyboard & hub solution in 1999, which was integrated into the world's first ‘USB only' PC (the iMac). Alcor is one of the leaders in low cost, single chip USB solutions, and offers other controller IC solutions as well. As part of our grow & expansion support, Alcor recently arranged the internal organization to strategically focus on 4 primary product lines as four business units: 1. Input & Output devices: provides Human interface input & output controllers, such as flash media reader controllers, USB hub controllers, USB KVM switch controllers and Internet security devices, etc. 2. Storage Device Controllers: provides mobile device data link controllers and USB flash disk controllers, & data storage controllers 3. Multi Media: provides Audio Signal Processing/CODEC controllers, webcam DSP controllers and other related multimedia controllers. 4. Wireless Communication/UWB RF: Ultra Wideband wireless/RF controller/baseband chips are the newest technology that Alcor has under development. This capability combined with our 11+ years of delivering low cost, integrated IO solutions will give Alcor's customers a new standard of technology applications & solutions at very competitive price points.
